Who controls your data
Folkan Products Limited, trading as Profumati, controls the personal data described here. You can reach us at help@profumati.ie.
What we collect
When you buy from us we collect your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and phone number. We collect your order history and the amount you paid.
We do not see or store your full card number. Our payment providers handle that.
When you browse the site we collect your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you view. We collect this through cookies and similar tools.
When you sign up to our emails we collect your email address and your name if you give it.
When you contact us we keep the message and our reply.
Why we use it
We use your order details to take payment, ship your order, and handle returns. The legal basis is performance of a contract.
We use your details to meet tax and accounting duties. The legal basis is a legal obligation.
We use your email for marketing only if you opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
We use browsing data to keep the site working, prevent fraud, and improve what we sell. The legal basis is our legitimate interest.
We use analytics and advertising cookies only if you accept them in our cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent.
Who we share it with
We share what is needed, with:
- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders
- Our payment providers, which take and secure your payment
- GLS, which delivers your parcel and needs your name, address and phone number
- Our email platform, if you have opted in to marketing
- Our accountants and, where required, Revenue
We do not sell your data. We never have.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of our providers store data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or on an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for seven years to meet Irish tax law.
We keep marketing consent records until you unsubscribe, then for two years to prove the consent existed.
We keep support emails for two years.
We keep website analytics for 26 MONTHS
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data. You have the right to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. You have the right to receive it in a portable format. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
Email help@profumati.ie to use any of these rights. We reply within one month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Children
We do not sell to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows the last change.
